Relations with the Military/Recruitment of Students

The Yarmouth School Committee recognizes the need for cooperation with the recruiters from college admissions, the military and business/industry.
It is the policy of the Yarmouth School Committee that equal opportunity be afforded these recruiters to meet with secondary school students.
The procedures for the recruiters to visit Yarmouth High School are as follows:
Access to students in the school building during school time
Recruiters may meet with students for the purposes of disseminating information through a prearranged schedule developed by the guidance/administration.
Release of lists of student’s names and addresses
The releasing of student names and addresses shall be governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Student’s names and addresses are not to be released en masse to the military services, colleges, universities, business/industry or other individuals and agencies. Release of this information may occur only with student and parent/legal guardian approval.
