School Ceremonies and Observances

The opening exercises of the schools may include the singing of patriotic songs and the salute to the flag. In all elementary schools, there will be appropriate opening exercises.
Religious Exercises:
In conformity with the Supreme Court decision, there shall be no religious exercises in the opening activities of the schools or in the assemblies. However, the secular study of religious texts or those subjects in which the history of religion may be an integral part is not prohibited.
