Detention of Students Administrative Procedure

  • Detention will be from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

  • Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. will be assigned to after school detention and/or an additional Saturday detention.

  • A quiet study hall atmosphere will prevail. Students will be expected to have school work and reading materials with them.

  • One 10-minute break at 10:00 a.m. will be permitted. During the break, students will be restricted to the immediate corridor areas and rest rooms.

  • Disciplinary problems or lack of willingness to study will result in further disciplinary action and a forfeiture of all time served.

  • Assigned students who have excused absences will be assigned to the following two Saturday detentions. Students missing either of these Saturdays will be suspended from school until the following Saturday and assigned to that detention.
