Student Automobile Use

Permission to use a private vehicle for transportation to and from the school may be revoked if the user is observed driving imprudently.
When transportation to and from activities for participants away from school is provided by the School Department, all students will be required to ride on the bus to and from the activity unless a written statement is received by the principal from a parent stating the reason why a student needs to use a private vehicle for transportation to and/or from the activity.
The written statement must be presented to the principal prior to the time of the activity and must include the reason for making the request, be dated and signed by the parent. Approval is at the discretion of the principal.
If any emergency should arise during an activity which necessitates a student being transported home in a private vehicle, permission will be granted at the discretion of the faculty member in charge of the activity.
