Dear YHS Families,
A few quick notes as we look forward to the upcoming Thanksgiving Break.
Ski Swap
The Yarmouth Ski Club would like to remind students/families about the upcoming Ski Swap on November 20th. Please see this link for more information.
Playmaker Pointsettias
The YHS Playmakers are once again partnering with Estabrook’s Farm and offering beautiful poinsettias for the holiday season. Ordering is easy: just go to estabrooksonline.com/playmakers, and choose the size, number and color of plants that you wish! Following your purchase, Estabrook’s will send you a voucher by email which will need to be presented at pick-up from Nov. 29 - Dec. 5, 2021. Need help with pick-up? Just provide your favorite playmaker with a copy of your voucher and they will handle that for you. The funds raised through our poinsettia sales will help finance next year’s theatre productions and, given the financial challenges presented by Covid, we are very appreciative of your support.” Thank you so much for considering selling our poinsettias for this very important fundraiser. Your time and effort is sincerely appreciated. With questions, please feel free to reach out to Julia Langham or Diane McCormick, FOP co-presidents, at yhsplaymakers@gmail.com.
More State Recognition for YHS
We would like to congratulate our most recent state championship winners. The boys’ 2021 soccer team finished their season with a 3-0 victory over Winslow, which marks the 14th state championship for our boys’ soccer program, the most in Maine high school soccer history. Additionally, this year’s team has been ranked 3rd in New England, and 22nd in the country. In the world of music, eight YHS students were recognized with All-State Jazz Choir and Band honors. They include: Maya Faulstich, Maddie MacLearn, Haley Doan, Adia Ameswright, Catelyn Coolidge, Hillary Connor, Evie King, and David Dealaman.
