You’re invited to come together in celebration of Jared Conant’s 14th birthday by donating to the Yarmouth Community Food Pantry on February 24, from 9 am - 11 am at the First Parish Congregational Church.
Jared has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. For those of you that don’t know Jared, his positive spirit is contagious. A true Yarmouth Super-Fan and an honorary member on the Yarmouth Boys Soccer team, Jared and his father, Barry, attended over 50 games and competitions this year, bringing indescribable morale and enthusiasm to each and every contest.
For the third year, Jared is choosing to celebrate his birthday with the gift of giving back to our community. Last year, they collected over 2 tons of food and almost $2,000 dollars– and this year, Jared hopes that with your help, we can set a new record.
Please consider donating food or making a monetary donation for Jared’s birthday. Just $1 has the purchasing power of $4 when used to buy goods in bulk by the Yarmouth Community Food Pantry. There will be donation bins at all four of the Yarmouth Schools, or you can bring your collected items to the Food Pantry on the 24th– Please refer to this link for a full list of items that are in high demand this season.
