We are excited to invite families across the district to our first Parent School Alliance event of the school year. Our Parent School Alliance brings families together for conversations and learning on educational topics relevant to our schools and community. Throughout the year, we offer several opportunities for families to engage in discussions on topics that span our district and connect to our mission of empowering all students to create fulfilling lives in a changing world.
Our first event, Left to Their Own Devices, will take place on November 10 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Yarmouth Elementary School cafeteria and will feature Jonathan Werner, a Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI) Ambassador. Jonathan will share practical strategies to help families support healthy technology use at home. The evening will also highlight the district's work on intentional technology use in classrooms, including our Vision for Technology Use and Screen Use Guidelines.
